Julia set - mathematical objects derived by iterations of
polynomial equations
real number (a) - all rational and irrational
numbers that have a defined value
imaginary number (b) - a number in
which the value of that number cannot be found
(e.g. square root of negative one).
Cartesian plane - a standard plane with two
axes, x
and y, that is used for graphing
complex plane - a Cartesian plane with a real
and imaginary axis as opposed x and y axes. A (real number) would be on
the x axis and b (imaginary) would be on the y axis.
complex numbers - a number composed of a real
number and an imaginary number. The standard format for an imaginary
number is a + bi where a is the real number and bi is the imaginary
number.
iteration - the action or process of repeating
